BCU Imaging Biobank
BCU Imaging Biobank, of the company Bio Check Up, is a non-profit service unit aimed at the collection and storage of images and related clinical data, whose main purpose is supporting and fostering biomedical research.
BCU Imaging Biobank is responsible for the collection, organization and storage of diagnostic images, reports, data and anamnestic information for scientific research purposes. The infrastructure allows to share collections of images, data and biomarkers among researchers connected to other repositories. Data and images are stored in an organized, safe and reliable way within the dedicated information systems of Bio Check Up S.r.l.
BCU Imaging Biobank (BCU-IB) is part of the BBMRI.it directory of COVID19 collections. The collection, available on our online platform upon written request, contains lung CT images and CR. Currently, the COVID collection is used for an internal research project and another one in collaboration with other regional and national institutes. Users regularly accredited at the BCU Image Biobank, can access the dedicated IT platform - based on XNAT - and take advantage of some online services, such as:
- import multiple images acquired from different devices
- manage and consult the collections and related data
- run data processing and analysis scripts on raw images
BCU Imaging Biobank supports scientific research by sharing among researchers images and data necessary for carrying out research projects.
